Straightforward Installation and Easy Trimming
You do not need specialist carpentry skills to fit this draught excluder. Every kit includes the plated screw fixings required to mount the strip firmly into wood, metal, or composite frames. Because doorways across British homes can vary widely, the 914mm bar is designed to be easily trimmed down to your exact door opening size.
To resize the unit, measure the width of your door leaf when closed. Slide the rubber TPE strip partly out of the metal casing, mark the casing, and cut the brassed aluminium section using a fine-toothed junior hacksaw. Cut the rubber strip cleanly with a sharp utility knife or heavy duty household scissors, slide the rubber back into position, and lightly crimp the carrier ends with pliers so the rubber cannot slip out.
Position the excluder against the bottom of your door so the rubber blade rests lightly against your threshold or floor, mark your pilot holes through the slotted openings, and drive in the supplied plated screws.
