Description
36 Silver 152Mm Double Action Spring Door Hinge
We have all experienced that moment when you are carrying a heavy tray of drinks or a stack of laundry through the house, only to find yourself struggling with a door that refuses to stay out of the way. It is a common frustration in both busy family homes and bustling commercial environments. You need a solution that allows the door to swing freely in both directions and, more importantly, return to its closed position automatically without you needing to touch it.
This is where the 36 Silver 152Mm Double Action Spring Door Hinge comes into its own. At Doorfit, we understand that hardware needs to be reliable, robust, and incredibly easy to live with. This hinge is designed to take the weight off your hands, quite literally, by providing a smooth, consistent action that keeps your doorways functional and convenient throughout the day.
Why Choose a Double Action Spring Hinge
When you install a double action hinge, you are essentially upgrading the flow of your space. These hinges are specifically engineered to allow a door to open inwards and outwards. This is particularly useful in tight corridors or areas where traffic moves quickly from one room to another. The integrated spring mechanism is the real star of the show. It ensures that once the door has been pushed open and released, it gently nudges itself back into the centre, keeping your rooms partitioned and your hallway looking tidy.
The silver finish provides a clean, neutral aesthetic that pairs beautifully with almost any door colour or material. Whether you are fitting these onto a wooden door in a traditional setting or a more modern interior, the finish is subtle enough to blend in while offering the high-quality look that our customers expect from Doorfit products.
Practical Benefits for Your Home or Business
- The dual motion capability allows for seamless movement in both directions, making it ideal for busy areas like kitchens or service rooms.
- The powerful internal spring mechanism ensures the door returns to the closed position every single time, which helps with maintaining privacy and temperature control.
- Constructed with high-quality materials, this 36 Silver 152Mm Double Action Spring Door Hinge provides the structural integrity needed for daily use in high-traffic zones.
- You will find that the installation process is straightforward for anyone with basic DIY skills, saving you time and the potential cost of hiring a professional.
- The silver finish is resistant to everyday wear and tear, ensuring your hardware looks smart and professional for many years to come.
- These hinges are built to handle the weight of standard internal doors, giving you peace of mind that your door will remain stable and secure.
Where to Use Your New Hinges
The versatility of these hinges means they are suitable for a wide variety of settings. In a home, they are perfect for the door between a kitchen and a dining room. If you are a business owner, you might consider using these in cafe settings, staff rooms, or any area where staff need to pass through frequently without using their hands. Because the hinge manages the closing process for you, it is a fantastic way to improve the efficiency and safety of your workspace.
We often hear from customers who are looking to replace old, squeaky, or sagging hinges. If your current doors are hanging unevenly or refusing to close properly, it is time for an upgrade. A fresh set of these hinges can make an old door feel brand new, restoring the smooth operation you deserve. It is a simple, cost-effective maintenance task that makes a massive difference to the feel of your property.
Technical Specifications and Dimensions
When choosing hardware, accuracy is everything. We want to ensure that you have all the information required to make an informed decision before you head to the checkout. The 152mm length makes this a substantial hinge, capable of providing excellent support and stability for medium to heavy-duty internal doors.

Maintenance Tips for Long-Term Performance
To keep your 36 Silver 152Mm Double Action Spring Door Hinge working at its best, we recommend a little bit of care every few months. Because these hinges are mechanical, a light application of a silicone-based lubricant can keep the spring action smooth and silent. It is also a good idea to check the screws periodically to ensure they remain tight, especially if the door sees a high volume of traffic. By taking these small steps, you can extend the lifespan of your hinges significantly, ensuring they continue to serve your home or business perfectly for the long haul.
