The HD72 is a range of high quality lockcases from Union.
HD72 locks are designed and engineered to last longer, extending door hardware lifecycles and reducing maintenance and replacement costs. HD72 has exceeded 3.5 million cycles - 14 times greater than the industry standard, set by BS EN 12209
The full HD72 range has been designed with the same footprint for maximum user convenience, using the same case sizes for easier installation
Application uses

Operation
Deadlocking Nighlatch function from the inside:
- Latch bolt withdrawn by either the lever handle or the cylinder key/turn
- When the door closes and the snib comes into contact with the strike the latch is deadlocked
Deadlocking Nightlatch function from the outside:
- Latch bolt withdrawn by the cylinder key to unlock the door
- When the door closes and the snib comes into contact with the strike the latch is deadlocked and a key must be used for re-entry
- NOTE: No lever handles are used on the outside. Use a pull handle or cylinder pull
