Reliable Security with the Eurospec 40mm Oval Single Cylinder Lock
When it comes to securing your property, the small details often make the biggest difference. The Eurospec 40mm Oval Single Cylinder Lock is designed to provide you with a dependable locking solution for everyday use. Whether you are upgrading your current hardware or fitting out a new door, this 5 pin cylinder offers a consistent and solid level of security that you can rely on day in and day out. At Doorfit, we understand that you need components that work reliably without any fuss, which is why we recommend this particular unit for its straightforward design and robust internal mechanism.
Choosing the right cylinder can feel overwhelming, but this Eurospec model keeps things simple. It is specifically engineered to fit perfectly into standard oval profile cut-outs, making it a highly versatile choice for various door types. The 40mm length ensures that it sits flush against your door furniture, providing a clean and professional finish that complements your home or business aesthetic. With a 1-year guarantee included as standard, you can rest easy knowing that your purchase is backed by a brand synonymous with quality in the UK architectural hardware market.
Beyond its primary function, this cylinder is built to withstand the rigours of daily life. It comes complete with three keys, so you have spares ready immediately, and it is available in either a Polished Brass or a Satin Chrome finish. Operational Performance
The operational smoothness of your locks is paramount to the user experience. Eurospec has manufactured this cylinder to ensure that the key turns with ease, providing a friction-free operation that prevents jamming or stiff movement. It is this attention to mechanical precision that makes the Eurospec 40mm Oval Single Cylinder Lock a favoured choice for trade professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.
Because it is a single cylinder, it is typically used for external locking where key access is only required from one side. The 5 pin tumbler system provides a standard security level that is more than sufficient for most domestic applications. This design ensures that the internal pins are perfectly aligned with the key cuts, allowing for a quick and secure lock engagement every time you leave or enter your home.
Important Operational Note
Ensure that the measurement of your existing oval profile door hardware matches the 40mm length of this cylinder before purchase. A proper fit is essential for maintaining the intended security and smooth turning action of the locking mechanism.

Material Durability
Durability begins with the choice of materials. This cylinder is crafted from high-quality alloys that resist corrosion and everyday wear. Whether you select the Polished Brass for a classic, warm aesthetic or the Satin Chrome for a modern, contemporary feel, the finish is designed to retain its appearance even after years of use in varied weather conditions.
We know that hardware is exposed to the elements, particularly when installed on external doors. Eurospec pays careful attention to the protective plating on these cylinders, ensuring that they do not easily tarnish or corrode. This dedication to material integrity means you spend less time on maintenance and more time enjoying a secure and stylish home environment.
Material Integrity Benchmark
The outer casing is designed to withstand normal atmospheric moisture levels. For high-saline or coastal environments, we recommend occasional cleaning with a soft cloth to preserve the longevity of the polished or satin finish.
