Description
Timeless Architectural Elegance with Reliable Everyday Performance
When fitting interior doors across domestic renovations or busy commercial refurbishments, sourcing hardware that strikes the right balance between aesthetic charm and practical durability is often a challenge. Standard lightweight door furniture can quickly show signs of wear, loosen over time, or feel unsubstantial in hand, detracting from the overall quality of the interior design scheme. Exposed screws can also interrupt clean sightlines, gathering dirt and compromising the finished presentation of a carefully styled doorway.
The M35CCP Mushroom Victorian Knob Concealed Fix Polished Chrome solves these problems by pairing a classic heritage profile with robust modern engineering. Designed with a larger than average mushroom head, this mortice knob delivers a reassuringly solid grip that feels natural to turn. Mounted on a neat concealed fix rose, all mounting hardware remains hidden behind a sleek faceplate, ensuring that your doors benefit from a clean and refined visual finish that withstands the demands of daily use.
Detailed Feature Breakdown
Ergonomic Victorian Mushroom Profile
Featuring a generous 58mm diameter knob, the traditional mushroom shape sits comfortably in the palm. Its rounded contours make turning smooth and effortless, providing a substantial feel that is well suited to busy domestic homes and demanding commercial environments alike.
Concealed Fix Round Rose
The 64mm round rose features an intelligent concealed fixing system. Once installed on the door leaf, the cover plate snaps firmly into position over the sub rose to hide all fixings, keeping the overall installation sleek, tidy, and resistant to tampering.
Mirror Polished Chrome Finish
Treated with a high quality polished chrome plating, this door knob offers a bright and reflective finish that complements contemporary and heritage interiors. The smooth surface resists tarnishing and is straightforward to wipe clean, retaining its brilliance for years.
Fire Door Certified and Guaranteed
Built with long term reliability in mind, the M35CCP is certified for use on fire rated timber doors. Supported by an extensive 10 year mechanical guarantee, you can specify this pair with complete confidence across high traffic areas and regulated developments.
Specification and Installation Guidance
Because this door furniture is unsprung, it is essential to pair it with a suitable heavy sprung tubular latch or mortice lockcase. Using a latch with a strong internal return spring ensures the knob returns smoothly to its horizontal resting position after every turn, avoiding handle sag and extending the life of the entire mechanism.
For the most comfortable operation, we also advise choosing a latch with an extended backset of at least 75mm or 100mm. Because the 58mm knob projects 71mm from the door face, an extended backset positions the handle far enough away from the door frame to stop knuckles catching against the door rebate or architrave.

Maintenance and Care
Caring for your polished chrome door knobs is straightforward and helps maintain their mirror-like finish indefinitely. We recommend regular dusting with a soft, clean cloth. To remove fingerprints and build-ups of grime, apply a quality non-abrasive wax polish using a lint-free cloth, buffing the surface lightly to restore its shine.
Never use abrasive cleaning pads, bleach, or solvent-based chemical cleaners on this door furniture. Harsh chemicals can strip the protective electroplated chrome layer and cause permanent discoloration or pitting to the metal beneath.
