Featuring a high-performance variable speed motor with speeds up to 2,600 strokes per minute, the DJV180Z allows users to match the cutting speed to the material for improved control and cleaner finishes. The 26mm stroke length provides fast cutting performance while maintaining excellent accuracy across straight and curved cuts.
The jigsaw is equipped with three orbital cutting settings plus a straight cutting mode, allowing users to optimise cutting speed and finish depending on the application. Whether making fast rip cuts through timber or achieving precise curved cuts in laminate, MDF or plywood, the orbital action provides greater versatility and efficiency.
Changing blades is quick and effortless thanks to the tool-free blade change system, enabling users to swap blades in seconds without additional tools. The saw accepts standard bayonet (T-shank) jigsaw blades, making it compatible with a wide range of cutting blades for wood, metal and plastics.
For enhanced visibility, the integrated LED job light illuminates the cutting line, making it easier to work accurately in poorly lit areas. A built-in blower function helps keep the cutting line free from sawdust, while the dust extraction capability allows connection to a suitable vacuum for a cleaner working environment.
The durable die-cast aluminium base provides excellent stability and can be bevelled up to 45° left and right, allowing accurate angled cuts without compromising rigidity. The ergonomic soft-grip handle offers excellent comfort and control during prolonged use, while the electronic brake improves safety and productivity by bringing the blade to a rapid stop after releasing the trigger.
As part of Makita's extensive 18V LXT platform, the DJV180Z is fully compatible with all Makita 18V LXT batteries, allowing users to share batteries across hundreds of cordless tools. Makita's battery protection system also safeguards against overload, overheating and over-discharge to maximise both battery life and tool performance.
Please note this is a body only machine and is supplied without battery or charger, making it the perfect addition for existing Makita LXT users.
