Yale Doormaster Professional Replacement Multipoint Door Lock 45mm Backset For Timber/Composite Doors
Finding the right replacement for a faulty multipoint door lock can often feel like a bit of a headache. You might have noticed that your door has become difficult to lock, or perhaps the handle feels loose and unreliable. It is a common issue for many homeowners, especially as doors settle over time or hardware simply reaches the end of its natural life. Replacing the entire door is an expensive and disruptive process that nobody really wants to undertake. This is exactly where the Yale Doormaster Professional comes into play. It is designed to be the ultimate solution for replacing older locks that are no longer performing as they should.
At Doorfit, we understand that security is your top priority. You want to feel safe and secure in your own home without having to worry about complex installations or incompatible parts. This high-security replacement lock is specifically engineered to replace almost any existing lock that features top and bottom hooks or bolts. Whether you have a timber door or a modern composite door, this versatile piece of hardware offers a robust way to restore your door to full working order while significantly upgrading the level of protection it provides.
Why Choose the Yale Doormaster Professional
The beauty of this system lies in its clever design. Often, when an old lock breaks, the specific model might have been discontinued years ago, leaving you struggling to find a direct replacement. The Yale Doormaster Professional is built to be a universal hero in these scenarios. It is compatible with a wide range of door types and configurations, making it a favourite among professional installers and DIY enthusiasts alike. By choosing a product from a brand as trusted as Yale, you are investing in peace of mind.
Security is not just about having a sturdy door. It is about the locking mechanism that holds everything together. With this unit, you get three heavy-duty hooks that engage firmly when you lift the handle and turn the key. This provides a much higher level of resistance against forced entry compared to standard locks. Because it has been rigorously tested to the Police Approved Secured By Design standard, you can rest easy knowing that your home is protected by hardware that meets some of the most stringent security requirements in the industry.
Advanced Features for Reliable Performance
One of the most impressive aspects of this lock is the inclusion of Crop and Mate technology. This is a game changer for anyone trying to match an existing door setup. It allows for a far greater scope of installation because the lock can be adjusted to fit the specific dimensions of your door. You do not need to worry about finding an exact match for every single hole or point of engagement, as the flexibility built into this system takes care of the hard work for you.
The lock is also PAS 24 door set capable, which is a testament to its strength and durability. This means the lock is designed to withstand a significant amount of physical pressure. It is not just about the strength of the hooks, but the way the entire mechanism integrates with your door frame. When you combine this with the high-quality materials Yale uses, you end up with a replacement lock that will likely outlast the original one that came with your door.
- The three hook design ensures that your door is securely held at multiple points along the frame.
- This lock is specifically designed to replace older, worn out systems that use top and bottom hooks or bolts.

This lock is ideal for residential properties where the current multipoint lock has become stiff, jammed, or completely non-functional. Because it is designed for timber and composite doors, it is incredibly versatile. It is vital to check this measurement on your existing door to ensure compatibility. The 20mm faceplate width is another critical dimension that ensures the lock sits flush within the door edge.
