Zoo Architectural Corridor Fire Door Kit KITA2
The Zoo Architectural Fire Door Pack KITA2-FDP-A2 is a comprehensive hardware solution designed to ensure fire safety compliance in commercial and public buildings. Tailored for corridor applications, this pack includes essential components such as a size 3 door closer, three Grade 13 stainless steel ball bearing hinges, and intumescent pads for hardware fire protection. It is suitable for wooden doors ranging from 35mm to 54mm in thickness and the furniture is satin stainless steel finish.
All components have been third-party performance tested to the relevant British and European standards, fire tested in accordance with BS EN1634-1, and are CE / UKCA marked where applicable.
Application Uses
- Designed for passage doors that are simply push/pull in design, this kit does not include a lock but instead relies on a closer to hold the door shut and a pull handle and push plate for easy use
- Typical applications include corridor doors where normal opening/closing is by pushing or pulling only
- The Kit is ideal for use on timber fire doors FD30

Specification
- The Kit can be installed on doors up to 950mm wide and 60kg in weight
- The VDC003 door closer is fully tested as an EN 3 closer in Figure 1, 6 and 61 installations
- Hinges have 2 ball bearing races for improved durability and template fixing screw holes, ideal for timber doors
- The Grade 13 hinges are intended for use on doors up to 120kg
- 300 x 19mm D shape pull handle has bolt through fixings for secure installation
- 350 x 75mm push plate is easy to screw to door to mask the handle fixings
- Signage reminds users to keep the door shut to ensure the fire door can perform as expected if needed
Standards
- The ZHSS243S3 hinges are CE Marked to EN 1935 and Certifire approved
- The VDC003 closer is CE Marked to EN 1154 and Certifire approved
